We are pleased to invite you to the 20th ACRSI Fellowship course in Colo-Proctology, which is being held at our institute from 4th to 8th April 2016. The five day fellowship course is an annual training program in Colon & Rectal surgery conducted by the Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India [ACRSI]. The course provides training in the management of diseases affecting the Colon, Rectum and Anal canal, and comprehensively covers relevant Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Radiology, Pharmacotherapy, and Medical and Surgical management. It consists of instructional lectures, instructional operative videos, and interactive sessions for each topic. Also included in the course is a hands-on cadaveric training session in pelvic floor anatomy, followed by Colo-Rectal and Colo-Anal stapling techniques. Experts in the field of Colo-Rectal surgery will be the course faculty. The Fellowship course will be followed by the Fellowship examination which is being held here on the 9th & 10th of April 2016.
The fellowship course is immensely beneficial to practicing surgeons and surgeons in-training as it comprehensively covers theoretical and operative aspects of colorectal surgery. Attendance in the course is also a requirement for those planning to pursue the Fellowship examinations [FACRSI].
